Vegetarian Vitamin Supplement

Types of Vegetarians:

Depending upon the type of consumption of food materials vegetarians can be classified into 4 types:

Vegans: These are also called total vegetarians. Their diet includes vegetables, fruits, legumes, seeds, grains and nuts. That means they consume only plants and foods from plants.

Lacto-vegetarians: Along with plant foods they also consume cheese and other milk products.

Ovo – lacto vegetarian: They are also called lacto-ovo vegetarians. Their diet includes eggs as well.

Semi-vegetarians: These people take fish and chicken in their diet. But they don’t take red meat.

What about their Health:

If you have a vegetarian diet or lifestyle, you are probably getting lots of important carotenoids, falconoid, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial nutrients even if you don’t take vegetarian vitamin supplements.

The majority of vegetarian diets are low in animal products. Hence, they are also lower in cholesterol, total fat and saturated fat compared to normal diets. But they can be done through vegetarian vitamin supplements.

However, as a vegetarian or vegan, no matter how healthy you eat, you may still be missing some key ingredients if you don't consume vegetarian vitamin supplements.

Proteins

Proteins are also naturally found in plants. However, make sure that your diet is varied and contains enough calories for your energy needs.

You can also rely on a good vegetarian vitamin supplements. Vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds are also rich in amino-acids. However, you don't have to combine all these foods in one meal.

Soy is also just as rich in proteins as animal products. You can take all the necessary amount of proteins just from soy.

Vitamins

Try to eat two servings of low-fat dairy products a day.
If you don’t eat dairy, try Soya milk, fortified orange juice, dark leafy vegetables, sesame seeds, tahini, tofu, or almonds.
Zinc

Zinc is an essential substance for ensuring development and growth. Grains, legumes, nuts and shellfish are great sources of zinc. If you take a vegetarian vitamin supplement, make sure that it doesn't contain over 15-18 mg of zinc. A vegetarian vitamin supplement with 50 mg of zinc may decrease the level of HDL cholesterol, which is good for the human body.

Although vegetarian diets are generally healthier than non-vegetarian ones, taking a good vegetarian vitamin supplement may help keep your body healthy.

Iron:

They best sources for Iron are eggs, whole-grain cereals, pulses, green leafy vegetables and fortified breakfast cereals. Vegetarian vitamin supplements are very best for Iron

Calcium

Try to eat Soya milk, fortified orange juice, dark leafy vegetables, sesame seeds, tahini, tofu, or almonds.
